1. Acute ear pain
Belladonna-
Otitis media. The pain can be so intense, the patient would cry out in sleep. Piercing, aching, sharp, pinching, squeezing, shooting, throbbing and beating pain deep in ear, could be synchronous with heart beat. Acute and sub-acute conditions of Eustachian tube. Belladonna is a great children's remedy. Complaints come suddenly; every little while starting or jumping in sleep.
Belladonna always is associated with hot, red skin, flushed face, glaring eyes, throbbing carotids, excited mental state, hyperæsthesia of all senses, delirium, restless sleep, convulsive movements, dryness of mouth and throat with aversion to water, neuralgic pains that come and go suddenly (Oxytropis). Heat, redness, throbbing are characteristic symptoms of belladonna.
Chamomila-
Otalgia, with drawing and tensive pains. Shootings extending to the ears, chiefly on stooping, with disposition to be angry at trifles, and to take everything in bad part. Tinkling and buzzing in the ears. Sensation as if the ears were stopped, and as if a bird were scraping and fluttering in them. Discharge of thin pus from the ears. swelling and heat driving patient frantic.
Chamomilla is sensitive, irritable, thirsty, hot, and numb. Whining restlessness. Crying and howling. Mostly a spiteful, sudden, or uncivil irritability. Disposition to weep, and to be angry, with great sensitiveness to offence. The child cries and wants to be carried on the arm.
Pulsatilla-
Pain in ears, as if something were about to protrude from them. Shootings with itching, or sharp, jerking pain, and contraction in and round ears; the pains sometimes come on by fits, affect whole head, appear insupportable. Earache with shooting down to teeth of lower jaw, aggravated when warm in bed. Earache in both ears with violent headache, frontal and occipital, aggravated at night. Inflammatory swelling, heat, and redness of ear and auditory duct, as well as of surrounding external parts. Painful swelling of bones behind ears
Mag Phos-
Severe neuralgic pain; worse behind right ear; worse, by going into cold air, and washing face and neck with cold water and feels better with heat, hot applications.
2. For Ear Infections with Ear Discharges
