About the Event

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being simply aware of what is happening around you, inside you and what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or any judgment. Once you are aware and pay attention mindfully to your outer environment and just be with it that leads to calm the monkey mind instantly. That helps cultivate peace within.

Spending too much time planning, problem-solving, daydreaming, or thinking negative or being caught up in random thoughts are draining and depriving. It can also make you more likely to experience stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression. In my practice I see so many people stressing out with so many different things and they can be helped with some simple yet effective meditation practices. Mindfulness has changed my own life and all my perspectives in 180 degree. I feel more balanced, calm, joyful and at peace almost everyday!

Your body and YES, OF COURSE the mind too already know how to handle / manage the stressful conditions; however as we get caught up in the outside chaoses, we get lost into it and feel stressed. Practicing mindfulness, bringing the awareness in the present moment involves breathing methods, guided imagery,  meditations and other practices to relax the body and mind which helps reduce the stress.

The importance of practice

After practicing mindfulness everyday for last 8 years, becoming a mindfulness master practitioner I would say that if you are committed to help yourself I am here to help you. Practice, practice and practice is the key!! This course is highly experiential and the daily practice is perhaps the most important component. Your body/mind is the most complex instrument in the universe. It takes time and practice to use it effectively and harmoniously.

For this reason, I recommend that you set aside time every day for practice. This may be the most difficult hurdle you face in getting started because one of the very issues you are facing may be not having enough time for all that needs to get done in a day - how are you going to find extra time? From my own experience after a few weeks of practice, although the time to "do things" is technically less, there can be a feeling of having more space and time, even in the middle of a very busy day.  So if you feel ready; sign up for this life changing course and give yourself a gift of mindfulness.
